In May 2008, a collective shudder runs through the Indian middle class after a 13-year-old girl named Aarushi Talwar is found brutally murdered in her bed. The very next morning, another body is discovered on the terrace - it belongs to Hemraj, the Talwars' live-in help, and the prime suspect in Aarushi's murder. Accusing fingers are now pointed at the Talwars, Aarushi's grief-stricken parents, whose comfortable middle class existence swiftly becomes anyone's worst nightmare. Aarushi Files, adapted from Avirook Sen's haunting book Aarushi, is an eight-part investigative audio series that narrates the story of the Noida double murders, and the controversial trial that convicted the Talwars.
